GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Allyssa Willis registered the top time for Agnes Scott this weekend at the University of North Georgia Invitational, and was recognized by the Great South Athletic Conference as the Runner of the Week for her performance. Several other Scotties turned in solid performances, as the Scotties continued to improve in their second year back as a program after a seven-year hiatus.
In the 6k race, Willis finished with a time of 27:21, good enough for 94th place out of 170 runners. Also putting in solid races for the Scotties were Honorine Rouiller (29:01) and Faridah Nalunkuuma (29:02), who placed 120th and 121st, respectively. It was the first race for Rouiller. Finishing out the scoring for the Scotties were Karolina Klimczak (137th) and Kelcie Evans (151st).
The Scotties will return to competition on October 3 when they take part in the Maryville College Invitational.
