Scotties Close Out Season in USA South First Round

LAGRANGE, Ga.—Agnes Scott Tennis saw its 2018 campaign come to an end on Friday after they ran into its stiffest test yet in a 9-0 loss to Methodist. The Monarchs, the top seed in the USA South East Division, kept their hope for a fourth consecutive bid at a conference title alive with the big win.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—Senior Camille Wilson (Cincinnati, Ohio) and sophomore Lizzy Engsberg (Atlanta, Ga.) were both named to the USA South West Division Second Team on Thursday as announced by the USA South Conference.

Senior Day Shutout: Scotties Take Down Wolves at Home

DECATUR, Ga.—A trip home after a long, successful weekend did not deter Agnes Scott Tennis from rolling to its third consecutive USA South Conference victory. The Scotties celebrated Senior Day in style with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Wesleyan to keep its postseason play hopes alive and well. Agnes Scott blanked its opponent for the third straight match dating back to Friday.

MARYVILLE, Tenn.—Agnes Scott Tennis shutout its opponent for the second day in a row as the Scotties capped off a successful trip up North with a 9-0 win at Maryville. The Scotties kept pace in the USA South West Division playoff race with the triumph.

From the Desk of Head Coach Keva Godfrey


Thank you for your interest in Agnes Scott College. Here at Agnes Scott, we create an environment for the student-athlete to be able to play competitive tennis while getting a first-class education. We offer an exciting academic and athletic opportunity, which will provide you with many memorable experiences.  Our specialized majors provide a challenging academic experience to students from all parts of the United States and abroad. We are located downtown Decatur, Georgia, nestled inside the perimeter of the bustling Metro-Atlanta area. The college offers 34 undergraduate majors and 31 minors. as well as programs in pre-law and pre-medicine; dual-degree programs in computer science, engineering with Georgia Tech and nursing with Emory University.

Agnes Scott ranks number 67 among national liberal arts colleges in U.S. News and World Report’s 2016 edition of “Best Colleges,” making it once again the top-ranked liberal arts college in Georgia. It also ranks number 20 in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” ranking. Our tennis program is one of the most storied on campus with several NCAA tournament appearances and conference championships, as well as an ITA All-American. I am currently looking to bring in athletes that believe in giving 100% every day both in the classroom and on the court.
