Josh Cornwall is entering his second year as the Coordinator for Athletic Communications at Agnes Scott College.
Cornwall comes to Decatur after spending four years as the Sports Information Director at his alma mater, Gordon College. There, Cornwall oversaw all media pertaining to Gordon's 19 programs and ensured all home events were provided with live coverage for the first time in school history. Cornwall coordinated the communication for three conference championships and the school's long-standing cross country meet, the Pop Crowell Invitational. He also served as an assistant for the Fighting Scots' men's and women's tennis programs from 2013-2015.
Prior to his time in Massachusetts, Cornwall served as a graduate assistant for athletic communications at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. during the 2012-13 academic year.
During his time at Belhaven, Cornwall was a part of a staff that won the "Sports Information Department of the Year" award given by the Southern States Athletic Conference of the NAIA. Cornwall, an East Berlin, Connecticut native, has also spent time in the ESPN Stats & Analysis department keeping live statistics for college football and basketball games at the Division I level.
Cornwall is a 2010 graduate of Gordon with a degree in Communication Arts, while focusing on radio broadcast and production during his time in Wenham. While at Gordon, Cornwall played four years for the Fighting Scots men’s tennis team, serving as team captain during his senior season.
He is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Cornwall earned his Master's in Business Administration-Sport Administration from Belhaven University in May of 2016.
Cornwall is married and currently lives with his wife Kay and son Jude in Decatur.
