The Scotties celebrated Senior Day in style with a 9-0 sweep of visiting Wesleyan to keep its postseason play hopes alive and well. Agnes Scott blanked its opponent for the third straight match dating back to Friday.

    DECATUR, Ga.—Visiting Covenant was able to spin a handful of 50-50 matches in its favor to take a 6-3 win over Agnes Scott College on Thursday evening at the Byers Tennis Courts. The Scots edged the Scotties 2-1 in doubles and did enough in singles’ action to claim the win.

    ORLANDO, Fla.—Agnes Scott Tennis started off its spring break trip to Florida with three tight losses on Sunday and Monday. Two matches came down to the final court in losses to Roger Williams (R.I.) and St. Norbert (Wis.) with a hard-fought 8-1 defeat at the hands of RPI (N.Y.) sandwiched in between. The Scotties (0-6) close out their trip on Tuesday with a match against SUNY-Geneseo at 3 p.m.

    FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.—The USA South announced its preseason polls for women’s tennis on Thursday morning with Agnes Scott being placed fifth in the West Division. The Scotties were projected to finish outside of the playoff qualifiers in the conference despite a third-place finish in the West Division last spring.
  • Godfrey Picked as Head Coach for Scottie Tennis

    DECATUR, Ga.--Keva Godfrey has been selected to usher in a new era for the women's tennis program at Agnes Scott College as announced by the department and Athletic Director Beth Vansant on Thursday. Godfrey comes to Agnes Scott after serving as the head coach for the women's tennis program at Clark Atlanta University for the last three years. She began her duties in mid-October.

    SEWANEE, Tenn.—Agnes Scott Tennis overcame warm conditions and long waits to notch four wins on day one of the 2017 Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Association South Invitational at The University of the South. All four Scotties registered as least one victory between singles and doubles action in the Atlantic draw.
