Veronica Cappas broke open the scoreless tie in the 12th minute when she finished off a deflection from the Agnes keeper. That score remained until the 38th minute when a clear chance off of a corner feel right to the feet of Katelyn Smith for an easy finish, giving Piedmont a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Piedmont added the all-important insurance goal 10 minutes after intermission with a finish from Anslyn Stamps. The Lions padded the scoresheet in the 88th minute when Amanda Weinhart sent home a ball following a great cross from Sarah Weber.
The Scotties head to Huntingdon on Tuesday for an increasingly pivotal divisional matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
