Agnes Scott named Albie Biggs as the head coach of the women's basketball program on April 1, 2017. Biggs was an assistant coach for the Scotties during the 2016-17 season before being promoted to head coach after previous head coach Allison Kern was named as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations and Camps.

In his first season as head coach of the Scottie program, Biggs led the Scotties to a pair of USA South Conference victories over Wesleyan College and laid the foundation for future success.

A native of Rising Sun, Maryland, Biggs came to Agnes Scott from his alma mater, Misericordia University, where he served as the Assistant Coach from 2005 through 2016. He was a member of the coaching staff at Misericordia when they won their first MAC Conference Championship in 2012 and made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III National Tournament. He coached and recruited 7 of the 10 all-time leading scorers in the program's history, including the all-time leading scorer, as well as 6 of the top 10 rebounders in program history (including the all-time leading rebounder), and 5 of the top 10 in assists.

Coach Biggs graduated from Misericordia University in 2004 with a B.S. in Marketing and a B.S. in Sports Management. He was a varsity letter winner in both basketball and baseball at Misericordia. He was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Pitcher of the year in 2003, as well as team MVP, 1st team All-Conference and 2nd team All Mid-Atlantic Region.
Coach Biggs is the son of Albert Biggs Jr and Sue Biggs and has one brother, Michael. He was a member of the Rising Sun High School baseball team that won the Maryland State 1A Championship in 1996. He currently lives in Decatur, Ga.
