BREVARD, N.C.—For the first time in a month, Agnes Scott Softball struggled to string hits together in a pair of losses to Brevard College on Good Friday. The Scotties scored in the first inning of game one, but would not touch home plate again in a pair of five-inning losses—9-1 and 8-0.
Brevard snapped a 10-game losing streak and improved to 7-13 on their early Senior Day. Agnes Scott fell to 5-23 after a strong early part of the week against Berea and LaGrange.
The Tornadoes allowed only two hits by the Scotties after Agnes took a 1-0 lead in the top half of the first inning in game one.
Brevard had much more success on the offensive end with 17 runs on 20 hits between the two games.
The Scotties will continue their overnight trip tomorrow at USA South West Division leader Maryville beginning at noon.
