Junior forward Garis Grant (Charleston, S.C.) has been named the Agnes Scott Scotties Athlete of the Month after averaging a double-double through four games in the month of November. Despite missing a game, Grant leads the Scotties in points per game (10.3), rebounds per game (11.5) and blocks per game (1.5) and has led the team in points in three of the four games in which she has appeared.
Grant remains one of the most dominant post players in the USA South for the third consecutive season. Through the first month of the season, Grant is one of only three players to average a double-double and leads the conference in rebounding to date.
The third-year student-athlete already has a USA South Rookie of the Year award and USA South West Division First Team honor in two seasons.
Grant also had a great month off the court as her one missed weekend of action was due to giving a rigorous academic presentation at a conference in Indianapolis.
