  • The athletic training room will be open approximately two hours before and one hour after the game/contest

 - Modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, moist heat, ice)

 - Injury ice

 - Biohazard container

 - AED

 - Emergency Medical supplies if needed (vacuum splints, knee immobilizer, crutches, wraps, etc)

If your team will be traveling without a certified athletic trainer, a written prescription from a certified athletic trainer will be needed before we can administer therapeutic modalities other than heat and ice to your student-athletes. We also ask that if your team is traveling without a certified athletic trainer or athletic training student, please call or email Anna Porter (Head Athletic Trainer) at least one (1) day prior to your team’s arrival so that we can make the proper arrangements. The Agnes Scott College Athletic Training Staff will be willing to handle your pre-game taping, provided that your team brings its own supplies.

An Agnes Scott College certified athletic trainer will be in attendance at all contests. Our team physicians will be on call for all contests, as will an ambulance for emergency transportation and/or advanced life support. Emory University Hospital is approximately 15 minutes from campus and Dekalb Medical Center ER is approximately 10 minutes from campus should the need arise.

We hope this information is helpful. If you are in need of any additional supplies, or if we can be of service to you in any way, please feel free to contact us. Have a safe trip, and we will see you when you arrive in Decatur!
