This team also made the postseason for the first time since joining the USA South. She encouraged a strong academic finish with a team GPA of 3.45 and placing seven players on the USA South All-Academic team. Since being named full-time head coach in February, she has recruited seven players to join the 2018 Scottie program.

She moves into the position as head coach after spending the previous eight years as a coach within the A5 volleyball club organization, based out of Roswell, Ga.. Braun directed her teams to eight consecutive winning seasons, including a string of top-five finishes at both the regional and national levels. Her most prominent club highlights include being the first A5 head coach to qualify a “3”s team for the USAV national championships and assisting a national championship runner-up finish with A5 12-1’s. Her eight years at A5 lent exposure to some of the best high school players in the country on their way to collegiate programs across all levels.

A native of Tallahassee, Fla., Braun received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Rhetoric Studies from Oglethorpe University in 2014. She played as an outside hitter and setter during her four years as a Petrel.
